A unique supply chain technology firm is toasting another success after helping a pioneering partnership of social landlords achieve the highest accolade in the housing world.
Valueworks, internet based supply chain technology specialists, is celebrating after client Fusion21 won the first ever Housing Corporation Gold Award.
Valueworks Chief Executive Jeff Dandridge said: "The award is a massive achievement for Fusion21. It is also a reflection of the success of the radical sourcing and procurement approach that we are proud to have helped Fusion21 develop."
The award - for innovation in procurement - is one of just two presented by the government agency and is by far the most significant honour received by Fusion21, a partnership of Riverside, Knowsley Housing Trust, Helena, Arena, Maritime and Plus Housing.
Wigan-based Valueworks, recently listed as one of the country's fastest growing technology companies, has worked with Fusion21 since the partnership of housing associations was established on Merseyside three years ago.
Valueworks was itself set up in 2000 by founding directors Jeff Dandridge and Iain Walsh.
Fusion21 Programme Director Colette McKune said: "Valueworks has played a key part in developing Fusion21's unique approach to construction procurement."
